Friday, March 15th, 2024 End of the Third Nine Weeks and EARLY DISMISSAL!

Can you believe it is almost the end of the third nine weeks? This school year is flying by! The third nine weeks ends on Friday, March 15th so there will be a teacher work day that afternoon. Students in K5-5th grade will be dismissed at 12:00 pm. This does not affect preschool classes.

Our 2023 Christmas Programs are just around the corner. The students have been working very hard to learn the songs and their parts and they can't wait to show off their hard work. Please check with your child's teacher to see if he/she should be wearing anything specific for their program. Please note the guest limit for the different programs. Coins for Education Fundraiser, Ends April 21, 2023

The Coins for Education Fundraiser begins March 20th through April 21st! Each student will receive a collection can, to collect spare change from parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and family and friends. When their collection cans are FULL, they will bring them to their classroom. and empty them into their classroom bucket. Our goal is to raise $3175. The easiest way to give is to drop a check or cash in the cans! Our upstairs classes and downstairs classes will be competing to see who can bring in the most money! The winner gets a special luncheon.

Casual Picture Day!! March 7th, 2023

Peter Wabbit Photography Company will be coming on Tuesday, March 7th for Picture Day! Students may wear casual dress for picture day. We will not be taking sibling pictures this time around being that we have so many other kinds of pictures to take. We will be taking class pictures as well as Cap and Gown pictures for our Kindergarteners.

Parents of Kindergarteners should keep in mind that their child will be wearing a graduation cap when fixing their hair for pictures. Kindergarteners will also need to wear the following:

Girls should wear a dress.

Boys should wear dress pants and a button-down shirt.

Kindergarteners may bring casual clothes to change into for their casual pictures.

Art of Parenting Class

Faith Outreach Church will be hosting a parenting class led by Pastors Joey and Erin Hartman. They LOVE to equip parents with tools they can use to "train up a child" to know Jesus! Using the Biblically based curriculum called "The Art of Parenting" created by Family Life Ministries, you'll learn things like forming character, applying discipline, nurturing identity, and so much more.

Classes will be on Thursdays, beginning February 9th. Childcare will be available, but you will need to RSVP before coming. We will be meeting in the lunchroom and using the Mercury Boulevard access. Class begins at 6:30pm. You can RSVP with Mrs. Evans in the office or email Pastor Joey at fochampton@gmail.com. We look forward to spending some time with you.

December 16th is a busy day here at FOEC. It's the last day before Christmas break so there will be class parties, gift exchanges, and a whole lot of Christmas Spirit! Reach out to your child's teacher to find out what you can send in for the class party and how the gift exchange is going to work. It's different in each class. Also, to show your school spirit (and Christmas Spirit) wear Christmas PJs to school! It will literally be like a Christmas explosion so say a prayer for our custodian, Mr. Cesar, who lovingly cleans up after us!

We will start collecting Operation Christmas Child on October 31st. All OCC boxes are due back by November 14th so they can be delivered to the collection site. Bring your kiddos ready for a fall and Christmas backdrop. Peter Wabbit has been doing school pictures for FOEC for years. On Friday, he will be taking sibling photos and individual photos. We usually start with the K2 and work our way up to the higher grades. In a few weeks, we will receive proofs of the pictures which we will then pass on to you. You can then use the order form to order or order online at peterwabbit.com. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Evans in the office!
